Rules of Survival Guide
Start with the basics and really go through the various options the game has for controls. Typically when you play clones of popular games like this, little thought goes into the controls beyond maybe allowing you to adjust camera sensitivity. In Rules of Survival, the menus are loaded with sliders for everything, as well as entire different control schemes. If you find the default one to be a little awkward, give the others a try. The game begins with all the players loaded on to the airplane, which flies over the island that the battle royale takes place on. Before trying to actually play competitively, just practice jumping out of the plane and seeing how far your parachute can take you to get an idea of how far you can stray from the plane's path. If you pull your parachute early, you can fly farther away, but this comes with the disadvantage of slowing your overall descent. Players who waited until the last second to pull their parachutes will reach the ground first. There's two distinct strategies you can take with where you drop, and they're both equally valid. You can either choose to jump out and hope to land in the center of the map, and get in fire fights early or you can look for a place as far away as possible and work your way back towards the action. The former can be good, as killing and looting players is a great way to quickly gear up, but I tend to prefer the more methodical approach of taking my time and moving slowly.
Bring up the map by tapping the mini map, look for a group of buildings you think you can make it to, tap to place a marker, then keep an eye on the HUD at the top of the screen to guide yourself to that point. With any luck, you'll be the only player that decided to drop there and you'll have full houses full of loot for yourself. While it might not be super apparent when you first start playing, you can exploit the third party camera to see around corners, over walls, and through windows without exposing your character to gunfire. Learning how far you can move before being seen and how to get full views out of windows without exposing yourself is absolutely key to staying hidden and getting the jump on other players. You can play solo, duo, or squad (4 people). If playing as a team, just focus work together. After plunging head to a building to get weapons and the necessary protection. The tactic certainly needed to win, given the safety zone will also be progressively decreased. Survive or attack, it's your choice. NetEase Games says that the Rules of Survival is not just a game. It is about a battle of life and death.
Enter the game Rules of Survival, either alone or with up to four other players, and prepare to enter a match for the survival of the fittest against 120 other players. Strategically air drop into the game's massive island and rush to gather weaponry, armor, and other resources to help you in the fight. Go head-on with other players or sit back and wait for the masses to finish each other off, with the ultimate goal of being the final player standing. Much like other games in the battle royale genre, the game area is continually restricted by a circle that slowly deals damage to players. Move to the center of the circle to avoid the damage, at the cost of being near more dangerous groups of players. Collect a wide variety of firearms for use in combat and pilot multiple vehicles to get where they need to be, and unlock a variety of cosmetic upgrades in the game shop to unlock new looks for your character.

Players can find various weapons and equipment scattered in addition to cars that can be driven throughout the island. However, driving does feel very awkward in Rules of Survival. Steering a car requires players to forego their ability to look around them for loot, enemies, or even obstacles that they may crash into. When on foot, however, the game runs much more smoothly. The controls to run, crouch, lie prone on the ground, jump, aim, run-and-gun, and shoot are laid out such that they do not detract from the space players use to actually see what is going on around them. After locating weaponry, players can either choose to hunker down and wait until the playing field has been thinned down or go on the offensive. Both methods prove to be enjoyable: the former quickly builds a sense of tension through tasks as mundane as sitting in a building and the latter provides a euphoric high through the use of quick reflexes. The quality of competition that players are eligible to go up against rises the more they play. Everyone begins at the Bronze Tier III level, although players who find success in the deathmatches can rapidly advance their ranking.
Rules of Survival offers three options within its deathmatches: to go into battle solo, with a teammate, or in a squad of four. Players can choose to be paired with random teammates or with friends. Teammate and squad play provide the opportunity to incorporate more strategy, as one player can even revive team members within a certain period of time should one be killed. Players can, at this point, only use one character as which to play. There is not much room for customization, which means that players will look almost identical to all 120 of their opponents. The visuals of Rules of Survival do have some flaws here and there but, all things considered, the game’s a treat to look at. The character designs are spot-on, the weapons look realistic and the island that the game takes place in is filled to the brim with high definition textures. One minor complaint we have with the visuals is the fact that the structures and trees sometimes look like they have jagged edges and this can actually end up obscuring vision from time to time. Fortunately, this problem doesn’t occur frequently so it shouldn’t have a major impact no your experience.
